Creating New Fat Cells for Toxin Storage

You know what? I spend more time researching on the internet and reading to all hours of the night about how little I knew about the human body and how little was told to me about the truth.

How come, please hear me out, how come cancer is still around, how come there are more children born with ADD and ADHD and how come heart disease, high cholesterol and high blood pressure are so common in younger adults...what happen? Why are there more unhealthy people then there are healthy people, why is it that you have to go out of your way to take control of your own health, and not trust everything you hear.
..I am sorry, but if I had not stayed up late at night, and watch so many controversial documentaries, I would of never known about how wheat, and refined carbohydrates where some of the many toxins I have been ingesting in the past 20 years when the boom of the 1980's preservatives hit the market, how going sugar free and replacing that cane sugar with chemicals manufactured in a lab but was approved by our governments, and how good food tasted when you just add a little MSG to it, gosh, and let's not forget how great it was to suffer from those headaches, because you were eating low calorie, low fat , because fat was the cause of obesity in the 80's....well....I didn't have to give up much fat, because I never "craved" fat, I craved that bread, that wheat belly bread, and thinking wheat was the safe and better bread to eat....Have you ever experienced headaches or other general ill feelings when you've gone on a diet? This is typical and is a result of previously stored toxins being released into the body again as you burn or release fat. You are, in essence, unsealing the toxins and flushing them out. This is one of the primary reasons it’s critical to drink plenty of water when you’re losing fat.

I try my best to minimize foods that contain toxins such as preservatives, pesticides, antibiotics, and heavy metals (such as the mercury increasingly found in some species of fish). Your body will protect itself by holding onto fat to lock the toxins away. I also am very much aware of acetaminophen and prescription medications I take for my psoriatic arthritis due to chronic joint pain at time, but being able to eliminate pesticides and preservatives have made a big difference in how I feel and my ability to focus on my weight loss journey and fitness health.

Much of our produce today has been sprayed with pesticides to reduce crop loss to bugs and other chemicals have been proven to leak into crops through water drainage that gets into the soil during the growing season. There can also be toxins introduced to food sources while they are being harvested, sorted and packed for shipment to your grocery store.

Of course, you are already aware that many water sources contain toxins today as well. Even bottled water may include toxins! Many preservatives used to extend the shelf life of packaged foods are toxic to the body in large quantities. This is one of many good reason to eliminate process foods from your diet, trying to eat clean and shop on the outer sides of the grocery store.

Since toxins are not natural particles or food sources that the body is familiar with, your organs can quickly become overwhelmed by all of these toxins. When this happens, you will start to store much of the toxic matter in your fat cells. In fact, you may actually create completely new fat cells just for the storage of these toxins.

So, my theory about why I am holding on to fat is more about my body having toxins and this is a reaction, to protect my organs, silly thing, but being fat is a reaction our body has created, more like armor. My weight loss is slow, but taking Milk Thistle supplements  http://milkthistle.com/ is doing it's job to help the liver neutralized toxins along with coconut oil and low carb clean eating, meat without hormones and antibiotics, eggs-cage-free, hormone free, no antibiotics. I am on my way to getting those stored toxins out of my fat cell and begin the healthy benefits of losing weight and gaining knowledge. Remember, if haven't yet, please read labels, find out where your fruits and vegetables are grown, and clean eating meats, no antibiotic and hormones, this is why meat gets a bad rap, you are eating chemicals from meats...chicken is very easy to find and a good price---beef might be pricey, but good benefits from grass fed beef. I have yet been able to purchase grass fed butter, but if I can that is one my list...it's not expensive to eat clean, it just takes time to prepare, most produce does not have a shelf life..which is good..if you have something that last longer than a week, then it might have some preservative...gluten is that tasty evil sticky guy that loves to reek havoc on your gut and internal organ.

"For decades we've been told gaining and losing weight is all about the calories. Just one little problem: the research says otherwise. Diabetics undergo dramatic weight changes when they adjust their insulin levels -- and so do you. Your diet determines how much insulin your body will produce over time. Apple Cider Vinegar Promotes New Hair Growth

Apple Cider Vinegar cleanses the scalp and promotes new growth by unblocking hair follicles and stimulating scalp circulation. The acids and enzymes in this treatment may kill the pathogens associated with Alopecia hair loss and irritated scalp and shampoo buildup.
Benefits from using the apple cider vinegar rinse:
Will not interfere with color.  Color safe.
It's Natural/Organic
Encourages healthy hair growth.
Prevents dandruff and scalp itch.
Kills fungus and bacteria & cleans dirty scalp.
Removes build up from hair and scalp.
Dissolves residue
Nutrients nourish follicles.
Unclogs follicles.

Clear vinegar has none of the benefits of raw organic apple cider vinegar. Through its processing and distilling, it’s been stripped of everything beneficial and can be detrimental to your health since it is dead instead of alive.
Only raw organic apple cider vinegar has the “mother of vinegar” that makes the vinegar so beneficial. The “mother” is made up of living nutrients and bacteria. You can actually see it settled in the bottom on the bottle.

How To Use:
Massage your scalp with cool water first, open up the hair follicles, then apply with a spray bottle, 50% apple cider vinegar, and 50% filtered water.......spray all over head, and work into the ends of your hair....allow to set for at least 10 minutes. I also apply cayenne pepper paste to areas that are very thinning, my front hair line has thin, and the cayenne pepper paste act as a heat stimulant. I rinse for about 5 minutes with cool water. The strong smell of vinegar will disappear once your scalp and hair dries. I deep condition twice a week with coconut oil, hot treatments work the best since coconut oil penetrates the hair shaft after a cool rinse.

Here are a few pictures, one is before I started using the ACV taken in 2009 , I had a severe breakout due to my psoriatic arthritis, my scalp usually breaks out, but not as much anymore.

November 2013 AVC is always with me as my normal hair rinse

YOU FOOLED ME-PROOF MASHED CAULIFLOWER RECIPE

Ok, once you become a Low Carber, you search for new ideas to make your comfort food taste just like Grandma did, back in the day. I have tried my best to "like" cauliflower, it all stems back to when I was a young girl "forced" to eat vegetables that the 'grown-ups" liked. Cauliflower was on top of the list of foods that I will never eat when I grow up and move away from my parents!! Well, I NEVER fed my own family cauliflower, because I was forced as a kid, and now as an adult  I "don't" have to eat those icky vegetables my parents forced on me...ha ha...that was until I became a Low Carber!! Once I change my lifestyle in 2009, I was introduced to so many fantastic LOW CARB recipes, I had to try it out MASHED CAULIFLOWER  for myself and wow, did I ever LOVE this, and experimented with my own recipe and came up with a pretty good fooled proof mashed cauliflower recipe.
I will slowly let my adult kids decide that giving up the mashed potato/baked potato can be very liberating because a fool- proof mashed cauliflower recipe could go the distance especially if you know the benefits of giving up starches in your diet. Living the low carb lifestyle gives you so many ideas easily substitute that lump of sugar white potato for that creamy cheesy cauliflower, just add some herbs and spices and anything is possible!
.

I learn from my daughter, that I can't fool her anymore, but she did get fooled a few years ago
Here is a video I made in 2009, introducing my Whipped Cauliflower, letting her think it was mashed potatoes. Oh boy did I get B*atched at..all is good now, she forgave, but doesn't forget.!

Now, this recipes is not exact, you can tweak it to your liking, I am not one to follow exact recipes, but I sure wish I would of known about this before I became a lifestyle low carber. Now my grandson who is 2 will be trying this out for the first time soon, this makes a great holiday dish, and YES, I will tell in advance that it is NOT potato..but sort of would like to fool those people who are picky and not a cauliflower eater like I once was.

Whipped Cauliflower Bacon Ranch Souffle

Pressure cook the cauliflower, or steam/boil till very tender
drain off the water, but leave a bit for flavoring
there are no exact amounts to this recipes
add 1/ 2 stick real butter
add 2 table spoon ranch dressing
add 2 table spoon full fat sour cream
add 2 table spoons full fat cream cheese
add *real) bacon bits
add 1/4 /cup whipping cream

add seasons
1 big dash( you decide)
garlic powder
onion powder
parsley flakes
sea salt- to taste
cayenne pepper
black pepper

whip all together
add to buttered baking dish

top off with sharp cheddar cheese, chives and paprika

bake in 350 degree oven till golden crispy brown on top

serve with your favorite meat, favorite green vegetables and or toss salad

My Sunday dinner doesn't need Mr Potato head at the table-being a low carber doesn't mean I am a meat and cheese eater only...I must continue to cook my meals, introduce new recipes to keep your carbs under control from that carb monster.

Kitty Kats Love Coconut Oil-update

Here is my original post on how my cats love coconut oil-as of today, they still get their dose of coconut oil, and my older cat Dante is now over 7yrs old and coconut oil is rubbed on his gums in the evening after he eats to keep his teeth and gums healthy.

Dante age 7  falls asleep right away after the coconut oil rub.

Lana age 3 loves to sleep on the bed and cuddle

I love my pets, the more I find out about coconut oil, the more excited I get. My cats were rescue kittys. I adopted my male cat Dante in 2007, he had no health issue when we adopted him, soon after about 3 years he was less active living in an apartment, but having lots of toys and running up and down the apartment hall. Soon, I felt it was time to get him a kitty friend. I went back to the same shelter June 2010 and pick out a female kitty, who looked healthy and was about 6 weeks old and only 3-4lbs. I took my new kitty to the vet to get checked out, and it was soon discovered that she had feline herpes, a respiratory infection which causes sneezing and wheezy asthma. It was very important that Dante be checked out to see if he caught the infection, later to learn that he too has Feline Herpes, but was treated with antibiotics and Lysine and both kitty cats are fine. A few month later,Lana became a chronic groomer to humans and to Dante. Dante has a build up of tartar on his teeth and became over weight by 5lbs, he weighs 17lbs and Lana weight about 6lbs, but she plays hard , she pants alot and a little wheezy.
I wanted to find natural remedies to help both kittys to live a long healthy happy life. Coconut oil is part of their diet, and I know for sure, there will be less hair balls hacking up from both cats and Dante will have more energy and healthy teeth and gums and the fur coats have already become shiny and less shedding. I made a quick video, introducing my kitty cats and what happened to them after a nibble of the coconut oil.
Now, when I either oil pull- 1 tablespoon for(15 minutes, then spit out the toxic material in a trash bag) or consume 1 tablespoon the coconut oil, the kitty cats also get the dose of the oil, together we will be documenting our progress over the next few months

I love my pets, I want the best health possible for them. I consume and swish coconut oil daily, the kitty cats began a tiny amount once a day and I will be documenting their results, especially with Dante who has tartar build up on his teeth.

# Coconut oil is a safe, natural and edible oil that can be very beneficial for your domestic pet, including cats and dogs. The oil is derived from pressed coconuts and the purest form of the product is 100% cold-pressed virgin coconut oil, which means that it has not been heated or refined and contains only high quality oil. Coconut oil is available at health food stores or online.
Skin and Coat
# Coconut oil can be very beneficial for pets when taken internally. Adding the oil to their food is the simplest way to include it in their diet. Just a few drops a day can be very beneficial to the coat, moisturizing the skin and hair. Coconut oil can be used in its semi-solid form or warmed slightly to make it liquid. For dogs and cats, add 1/4 teaspoon of oil for every 10 pounds they weigh. Slowly increase to 1 teaspoon for every 10 pounds of weight per day, or 1 Tablespoon for every 30 pounds. Increase the dosage slowly, and if you notice any irregular bowel movements or an upset stomach, decrease the amount you're giving them. Allow your pet time to adjust to smaller amounts before attempting to increase it again.
Healing Properties
# Externally, coconut oil can be applied to cracked paw pads, wounds, scratches and cuts, like a healing salve. It can be used inside the mouth on sores and on teeth as a toothpaste. Coconut oil may also be applied to fungal infections, bites and stings--skin ailments of almost any kind.
In the Ears
# Slightly warmed coconut oil may be dropped inside your pet's ears to treat ear mites and infected ears. If using a cotton swab, be careful not to place the swab very far into the ear--use it only to apply the oil to the outside of the ear canal, where it can get into the ear on its own.
Skin Irritations
# Coconut oil may get rid of odors on your pet's coat and help cats to eliminate fur balls. It can also benefit pets with difficult skin conditions such as eczema, allergy to fleas or other allergies.

Update:: the experiment continues 2-19-2011

The experiment continues-I received a free sample of Expeller- Pressed Certified USDA Certified Organic Virgin Coconut Oil. Both Kitty Cats were not tricked in anyway to eat the cat food with the coconut oil in it. I let the coconut oil remain in solid form so that they could see it, I did not blend it or hide it from them.

How is Expeller-Pressed Coconut Oil for Pets Different?
Tropical Traditions, Inc Answers-
"Expeller-Pressed Coconut Oil for Pets is the same as our regular certified organic Expeller-Pressed Coconut Oil, except that it has not been completely deodorized and will have a "smokey" flavor to it. Those wanting a bland coconut oil may find the taste too strong. It is still certified organic and is still a high quality edible coconut oil."
